PARTNER/FOUNDER

MICHAEL KELLY, CPA

Mike is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s College in with a bachelors degree in Accounting. He began his public accounting career in 2005 and has worked for two local public accounting firms prior to founding KDS.

Mike is a Certified Public Accountant, a member of the Maine Society of CPA's, and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Mike specializes in corporate and individual tax compliance for clients of all shapes and sizes. He has a background in attestation services, including audits, reviews and compilations for small businesses and nonprofit organizations.

Mike is passionate about working with local small business owners to help grow their business and minimize their tax liability to the fullest extent.

Mike lives in Falmouth with his wife Heather, and three young children, Bryson, Lyla, and Nolan. When he is not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and is an avid New England sports fan.

PARTNER/FOUNDER

RYAN DAWSON, CPA

Ryan is a graduate of the University of Maine, summa cum laude, where he majored in accounting and finance. He began his public accounting career in 2011 with Dawson, Smith, Purvis and Bassett, P.A., located in Portland, Maine, which later merged with a national firm.

Ryan specializes in tax compliance and planning for individuals, small businesses, trusts and estates, and nonprofits. He is a Certified Public Accountant, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Maine Society of CPAs, and Maine Estate Planning Council.

Ryan lives in Freeport with his wife, Kelsey, son, Parker, and twin daughters, Morgan and Sophie. In his free time, he enjoys golfing and hiking, as well as many other outdoor activities.

PARTNER/FOUNDER

WILLIAM SOUTER, CPA

Bill is a graduate of the University of Southern Maine, where he majored in accounting, and a graduate of Thomas College, where he received a Master’s Degree in Taxation. He began his public accounting career in 1996 with Dawson, Smith, Purvis and Bassett, P.A., located in Portland, Maine, which later merged with a national firm.

Bill’s area of concentration is tax compliance and planning for individuals, privately-owned businesses, trusts, estates and nonprofit organizations. He also performs reviews and compilations of financial statements.

He is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Maine Society of CPAs. He is the current Treasurer and Board Member of the Saco Bay Rotary Club.

In his free time, he enjoys golfing and bowling, and is an avid New England sports fan.

Bill lives in Old Orchard Beach with his wife, Jessie and son, Ethan. He also has two older sons, Tyler and Tanner.

MANAGER

CHRISTINE MOULTON, CPA

Christine is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire in 2015 with a Bachelors degree in Accounting and Management. In 2017 she earned her Masters in Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University.

In 2019 Christine obtained her Certified Public Accountant designation and is a member of the Maine Society of CPA’s (MECPA).

Christine began her career in public accounting in 2016 with a local public accounting firm that later merged with a nationally recognized firm before joining KDS. At the local firm Christine learned the fundamentals of accounting and tax compliance and planning strategies for individuals, corporations, and trusts and estates. She has grown to enjoy helping clients with the accounting and federal and state tax compliance in various types of industries and clients of various sizes.

Christine lives in Cape Elizabeth with her husband, Dylan, and dog Hazel. In her spare time she enjoys spending time outside running, hiking, biking and the occasional game of golf.

STAFF ACCOUNTANT

CHELSEY BOUFFARD

Chelsey is a graduate of the University of Southern Maine with a bachelor’s degree in Finance. She began her career in banking and worked in the banking industry for 12 years. She recently decided to make a career change and made the switch to public accounting.

Chelsey has a great understanding of accounting and bookkeeping. She is excited to apply those skills to all aspects of public accounting to help meet the needs of our clients.

Chelsey lives in Auburn with her husband Kyle, and three young sons Wyatt, Beau and Brooks. When she isn’t working, Chelsey enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, swimming, golfing, and skiing.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

DENISE ORR

Denise has worked as an administrative assistant for over 30 years and started in a public accounting office in a local small firm in 1999.

Denise lives in Saco with her husband Tom and has 2 grown children and 1 grandson. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
